I really did not like 8000K and felt 4700K made it much easier to see. 6000K is tolerable, way better than the kid-stuff blue 8000K, but 4700K was better still. 8000K also looked cheap and fakey-aftermarket. Also it'd grab the wrong kind of attention.

my 8000 k lamps at 55w are very bright, bluish white. Many 993 guys run this combo.
Doug Bray can vouch it's not ricer at all.
just the same, 5000k is a good deal brighter. i'm prolly gonna do driving lights with 8000k projectors.
