So how much does having the only one ever produced (color) add to the value?

Once I found a site that had production numbers for all years and all colors. Was it accurate? I have no idea. But I forgot the address and I didn't bookmark it... I'd love to find it again.

My all-time favorite 944 color is Zermatt Silver. My '84 was this color originally, before it got ruined by the sun, birds, rocks, and a lady's front bumper.

I think the most common color is Guards Red (Indisch Rot), probably followed by gloss black.

As rare as some of the colors are, what about yellow?

I asked in another thread a while back, but no one seemed to know. Although one person did say 944's have been made with the color yellow before.

Is there any confirmation on that? At the very least, if anyone has a car that hasn't been repainted with the color yellow on it, and there's a pic of it, post it!

EDIT: Well i just checked out another thread and saw there are such things as "Pasadena" Yellow and Summer Yellow...both of which aren't very pretty hehe. No wonder Porsche didn't make many of those shades.

I think the darker yellows were on the 85.5 + cars and the early cars has a lighter cream color.

My S2 is an LY7P Titan Metallic only 90 and 91 color...

These guys have some of the paint codes but none of the production #'s but it helps to know what colors what...

Interesting, but doesn't appear to be completely accurate; my '86 is Stone Grey Metallic LY7U

bump from the grave, is there somewhere where we see a picture (yes, a photo - wont show color exactly, but will give a good enough idea) with the different colors? The best would be a meet with them all in a line, I have been looking for half an hour now....trying to figure out what is blue/grey.

Sounds like Diamantblau Metallic (LM5U). What year is your car?

Could it be Sapphire Metallic? It's hard to film...sometimes blue, sometimes silver

Rarest 944 color I saw was that really intense pink you'd sometimes see on 90s 911's... iirc there was a thread about it and the guy ordered it as a custom color for his n/a in Germany and went back for it years later or some crazy story.

My car (avatar) is Gemini Grey - LZ7Z - any idea if it's a common colour?
