Post Bad Throttle Position Sensor??

Ok, so my car still won't rev past 1000. I examined the TPS and my best guess is that it's bad. The resitance didn't change at all when i moved the throttle. I plugged it back in after examining it and the car then drove fine. This morning, again the same problem, it won't rev past 1000. I tried disconnecting the TPS and then the engine will rev higher. My question is, can i drive it in this condition, without the TPS? Will it damage anything? I would assume that the computer will not be able to adjust the fuel flow properly, which could lead to problems. It also seems to not "sound" right at higher RPMs. I didn't drive it, i just revved it up around 4000. Is replacing the sensor the next step?

Yup, replacing it is definetely the next step.

Paragon has it for I think $40? But it takes ~5 days with standard shipping to get here.

If you want it faster I recommend a nearby dealer...
