It's worth mentioning for those only recently exposed to the 944 model history that in later model cars including the S2 there is only one (singular) sensor and I honesty don't know if it's "speed", "reference" or somehow both. But there's only one.

I became very worried about my car when I discovered a single sensor. Not to worry. Your car is fine.

It function as both because of the revised reluctor. 8v cars didn't have that because of a patent by Electromotive.

Installed my new 19mm adjustable rear sway bar, finally. It should be a good match for the 26.8mm front bar, the 18mm I had previously felt just a little too soft and I was getting some unwanted understeer in hard corners.

According to mahle it should be 0.62mm so I'll need to file some more

Interesting part is they say ideal gap for 4" bore is 0.024-0.026'' or 0.006 per inch.

4.11"x0.006=0.02466" = 0.624mm

Finishing up new Zimmerman rotors and porterfield pads. Brake sensors are a little tricky. Broke a new one already. Cheap plastic!

The trick to the brake sensors is unplugging the lightbulb in the dash that tells you they're missing...lol

I cut the harnesses off and shorted the wires together. No dash light and I trimmed 1lb 8oz off the car!

Blasphemy! Just kidding. I am trying to basically keep the car a more stockish condition. Except for the wheels!

Installed new Alpine head unit into the 951 along with new rear 4x6 speakers. I was able to remove and install rear speakers without fully removing the rear side panels. I basically detached everything but where the panel goes up into the rear glass and just pushed up on the panel to gain access . It was very tight but I preferred this to taking out the rear windows to fully remove the side panels.

The original rear speakers were beyond destroyed. The new system is much nicer and the sound is more than adequate. I also like the ability for hands-free telephone calls now and the access to all music stored on my phone.
