After ruling out the muffler as the reason for the hesitation and lack of power I was experiencing in my '87 924s I thought it best to have a look at the cat. (I did consider removing the O2 sensor first but decided against it.)

It turns out that (for this problem anyways) there might be light at the end of the tunnel after all (or not).

Started disassembing my old 951 engine. I will eventually be selling the long block, wiring harness, and Vitesse stage 2 turbo.

The wiring harness was modified for M-tune and The engine and turbo have less than 2000 miles on them since they were rebuilt.

It's ridiculous how easy I can light up sticky 275s.

I also won 1st place in a car show last night, I put it in the "under construction" class.

Those wheels look good on the 944 body.

I replaced the battery on the 931, drove it a bit.

covered 65 miles in ~45 minutes across the top of LA.
can't stop singing the praises of the MAF conversion and in my setup...a cone filter! (it is in the factory airbox though, hard to explain.)

sounds great, pulls great, easy 5th gear passing of other cars and when you put your foot into it...the car happily bounces along at integer-multiples of the speed limit.

Thanks, they took a little getting used but they grew on me. They look great in motion too.

Because that's how you get video.

I just left on a business trip, I'll get some video or rolling pics next time I'm home.

Bendpak MD-6XP. About $2000. You can get them from numerous places online, mine came from Brian at ASEdeals.com

Drove it to work for the first time. Yeah, it's a heap, but it's mine and I can't wait to bring it back to life over the next several years. It's not making any boost, but even with that and the blown rear shocks I enjoyed driving it today for the first time.

Awesome, that is what it is all about. My first car was a 1947 Chevy Fleetmaster coupe purchased in pieces. It took 5 years to get it together on the road and I fantasized all those years about driving it. When it was finally done and on the road it was surreal. While that wasn't a Porsche, fixing something up can be very gratifying. Good luck!
