Question Thumping noise from under car when accelerating/shifting

I just had my rubber-centered clutch replaced on my '87 944S with a Sachs spring-centered clutch. The associated bearings, rear main seal, etc were all replaced at the same time.

Since the replacement, any hard accelleration/decelleration while slipping the clutch (i.e. quick starts, hard upshift or downshift) produces a rapid "thump thump thump" noise from under the car until the clutch is fully engaged...

My thoughts are either:

o bad tranny mount
o torque tube bearings
o Exahust system moving

Any ideas or BDTD?

Thanks,

Check out these two posts - there's some good info in them, just read the symptoms everyone discusses.
Let me know what you learn as I'm currently figuring this out as well!
