I have a 1987 944 and the rear carpet needs replacing. The color is a very lite tan. What is the actual name of this color

LQ is Grey-Beige. I have the same and have been looking for a hatch carpet set also.

OK, I believe I get get us some. There is a guy in MI, 928 Leathershop who can make us some. His name is Bob and I have purchased stuff from him prior. All was as stated.
It is noce to know what color I have. If you are interested please advise.

I think Bob Robb only offers the carpet in black. World Upholstery offers colors and will send you samples. I just went through all this about a week ago. I have a thread I started in the 951 forum.

There are a few sources for a close matched carpet. Personally I would rather buy the bulk carpet and sew my own bindings. A recent thread sourced grey-beige carpet through World Upholstery and it was very close. The Fientuft "Champignon 5017" was the closest match to LQ.

That was my thread in the 951 forum. I'd highly recommend ordering your own carpet samples and make a judgement call though. I'd hate for someone to look at my pictures and end up with a carpet set that wasn't right.

In the end I went with black. I thought Greg's interior looked great, and I was tired of the beige carpet always looking dirty. I'm still waiting for it to be made though - probably a couple more weeks before it gets here.

You have to love Porsche people, always helping no matter what car it is.
I like my Nile Green outside color on the 944, dark and very shiney. Nicer than the blue on my 928.
