I have never actually seen this clip break but I have had two heater valves start leaking hot air into the heater core. Is it really that common?
The lady I bought my car from had spent over $1000 with the local Porsche independent trying, to no avail, to fix the AC. I brought it home, searched on Rennlist and fixed it for <$2.00 by replacing this clip. Needless to say, I ponied up for a Rennlist membership right then and there
