Default 944 Cab Wind deflector

Can anyone please help with the part number.

I got a quote from Porsche about a year ago, now I want to buy it but they can't find it in their system.

Try looking for it as a 968 part. Maybe pick 1995 as the model year.

Thanks Porsche found as a 968 Part .................... BUT at ZAR6600 that is about USD800 its more than double what I'm willing to pay.

The Porsche shop option looks great, does anyone know what the quality is like?

Default how about this part number?

Look at post #8 in this thread for the 944 part number:

https://rennlist.com/forums/944-and-944s-forum/410746-s2-cab-wind-screen.html

Also, look here ---> http://www.porscheshop.co.uk/acatalo...ing.html#a3514

They show a 911 but it's mingled in with other 944 stuff so it makes me wonder if they just included the wrong picture. It's about $350 in US Dollars.

Thanks great pics, first time I've actually seen it. I still wonder about the quality of the Porscheshop version?

Heres's the part number for anyone to lazy to click on the link. 000-043-202-10. As far as it being grouped in with the 911 stuff, that is because it is the latest version of the part, it does cross-reference one of the parts of teh wind delector as saying it fits both the 911 and 944.

Default easy to make?

Seems like it would be simple to replicate this in either clear or tinted plexiglass or even mesh like the one pictured with an aluminum frame. It wouldn't require welding because it's not structural.

Thoughts?

Here are pictures for reference.

I just ordered one from Sunset for $365. I always wanted one but read somewhere they were $600 or so. $365 is not cheap but it's my birthday and odds are I could not fab anything decent and functional for less.

I also ordered body cladding seals and fasteners.

It will rock having a windstop, buffeting at highways speeds is annoying.

Thanks this is not what I wanted to hear but it is what I needed to hear!
Now I can learn from your experience and not make the same mistake.

Did you have the one from Porscheshop?

The one I got was from Classic Additions, it was ok,
I did a write up in the TiPEC magazine about the 2.
Each had advantages, but TBH EOD the OEM was better

I'd love a copy of that write-up if possible?
