This Saratoga roof will they tilt open just like the original via the electric switch ( 1988 924S) and removed completely as well just like the original? Apart from the glass material is there any other noticeable difference to the original ? Are the fastenings exactly the same? If anyone has any good decent pics of this roof , would be great to post as I am thinking of getting one

I have an original. It works just like stock, removable roof but is translucent.

From outside has bronze mirrored finish.

From inside, can see out, looking up.

Mine is not for sale, even at $1K.

From experience, the new ones seal too well. Where the stock roof kind of fits into the roof hole, the Pilkington roof is a very snug fit. While you would think this good, it overstresses the delicate factory roof pulleys and gears. I broke my sunroof trying to close one of these. I sent it back, and they are nice people, but this needs some minor adjustments to work properly.

Anybody have any top updates?
@DHC8FO perhaps? Did you ever manage to get your workspace needs met?

Hell yeah! I think depending on material and tint, as well as if it’s for power or manual roofs 500-850. Maybe 900. I test drove a car that had one and my oh my it was beautiful it makes such a difference!
