Those reliefs are not much deeper than the dish. First we agreed that he mill out reliefs flat, but then he measured angles off of stock 16v piston and just replicated that.

I don't know if Ill have him machine this set of pistons again since there is a chance that tool head catches the relief and destroy piston, if milled again it should really be delicate.

Must put everything together and mesure everything then make a decision based on measurements.

Will send PM in a minute..

2005 x type 2.0 diesel. With light foot it gets over 50mpg and registration+insurance for one year is ~$400.
My 528i r+i is ~$1300/y. Big difference.

This x was impounded two months ago and it turns out former owner put more than 7000€ in the car this year with all the receipts in glovebox. It has brand new brakes, shocks, everything below, clutch, sensors, seals and everything was done at jag service.

As for mondeo, I drove mondeo 2.0d and its not even close. Jag engine has totally different tune to it, the rest of the car has about 15% ford parts, most notably mondeo estate rear suspension. Thats about it.

So far I like it a lot.

This article describes well what really went in design and testing of x and how it is related to ford: http://www.aronline.co.uk/blogs/cars...jaguar-x-type/

Massive attention was paid to refinement and the cars dynamic and ride abilities, such as prop angles and speeds, damping, traction and steering and testing was the most extensive to date with hundreds of vehicles built pre-production, not only consisting of the usual engineering mules, underbody mules and confirmation prototypes built at the midlands sites, but also hundreds of genuine Halewood track-built cars, too. Such high volumes of vehicles are certainly not desirable, most firms strive to reach virtually impossible zero-prototype development, but as proven with Toyota’s recent recall problems, this is never quite feasible. Such was Jaguar’s desire to build a dependable and class leading car, the firm would have to shelf this ambition to get this car right.

The car was tested globally, from the sub-zero, snow clogged roads of Timmins to the deserts on the same continent, from the potholed roads of native Britain, to high speed rings in Italy. Millions of miles of development ensured the X400 would be well judged and dependable on the road. During this time, most electrical gremlins were ironed out of the car, one of the remaining bugbears of the cars design would be the transfer case however, the component passing through many revisions before and after ‘job-one’ production, and having become less rearward biased.

Most comments regarding the Mondeo sister-car were positive, citing just how capable that car also was, and in the end, that just 19% of the cars origins were shared, many of which were perfectly suited components such as HVAC units hidden from view and which in no way detracted from the X400’s Jaguar heritage.

Many felt the car was built as a Jaguar, looked like a Jaguar and drove like a Jaguar.

Finally got these damn itbs. These were shipped from usa to me when I was on vacation and after 20 days returned to usa. I had to pay shipping again so now these are finally here. What a stupid rule. People go to vacation for more than 20 days FFS.

Here everybody does. Standard vacation time is 2 weeks together in the summer time and two separate weeks in winter and few off days when needed.

If you have a full time job, company that employs you must give you 20 (I have 24) days of paid vacation + 13 paid holidays per year. You get extra days per year if you have kids and depending on how many years you work.

I work 11th year for the same company and never once had a problem with 2 weeks or more of vacation at once. But, we usually hire students during vacation times and employees with special skills always double and only one gets to be on vacation at the same time.

This is normal in most of europe, sweden gets 41 paid days.

LOL Arabs will work their saving for many years dont worry. They got tricked to relocate only to be sucked into a high tax system, as soon as they get sick of rice&potatoes and tents and they start to work, EU will take their money.

I had 27 days of paid holiday in my old company + national / religious holidays.
Since i moved to a new company i only have 23 paid days.
