Jumper A/C Switch or Compressor ????
Re: 91 944S2 A/C Climate Control System
How do I bypass the a/c switch to turn the compressor on. I would like to install a secondary switch that act's like the a/c switch on the climate control. The A/C compressor cluctch is not turning on even though all related parts check out. I have freon, hoses are good, pressure switch is good, relay is good, compressor is good and climate control panel is new.
I belive there to be a wiring issue between the climate control and the fuse box It's hot and humid out and I am trying to debug my a/c or climate control issues, so I need to bypass the climate control with a seperate a/c switch to turn on and off the a/c compressor.

There is a switch just by the drier under the headlight. Pull the two plugs off and jump them with a piece of wire or a paper clip. If your clutch does not come on then yeah, you've got an open circuit.
edit: oh yeah, you'll still need to turn on the switch at the dash.

Anyone ever find an answer to this.. I don't have 12V from the AC button on the dash, so I am thinking either a bad relay or bad switch. Anyone dealt with this before?
