Not yet on the engine swap, its coming along though..should be ready to install pretty soon..taking our time / making sure its done right.. I had the rear apart installing delrin on the spring plates and deleting t-bars. Now running coilovers all around.

Good luck on the S2/968 hatch hunt, Justin scored one recently and I know he found 2...they are out there although probably stupid expensive especially if it isnt local.

Sorry for bringing this back, but any other good vendors for these covers in the same $475 ish price range for covers. All the covers I am seeing are $1200 plus and leatherseats.com won't do these anymore.

I think leatherseats.com went up market and is no longer offering cheaper alternatives. I don't know of anyone who makes leather seat covers for $475ish price range. Have you checked eBay? I bought some 928 seat covers in vinyl for around $400 from there and was pretty happy with them.

I have checked e-bay, but am always concerned buying things from an unknown and not proven vendor.

I may end up going that direction though.

Here is the vendor I went with on ebay (see below). They even did a custom piping for me on my seats. For the money I'm happy. Obviously they weren't perfect but came out a lot better than some of the other jobs I have seen.

Leatherseats.com did my seats. I'm very happy with the results, you can see here. I purchased busted up sport seats and had them shipped to their shop for the fitting and installation. We did everything over the phone. It wasn't cheap, but I would not hesitate to do it again.

Unfortunately they will not do our seats anymore. I called them a few weeks ago and was told that they won't do any but the Boxster- 996

Try local upholstery shops, and either take a seat with you or show them pictures.

But +1 for only944.com's stuff.

I bought a pair of covers from autoupholsterykits on ebay, +1 to them. Have yet to install on my early sports but they appear to be excellent quality. I got mine for half cost because they were a custom job that was canceled, black sides and burgundy insert. Need to get around to doing up those old sport seats..
