Wow...weird seeing an early 944 with a "normally" oriented tach! Looks nice, are they "too" bright at night?

Wow, that looks great! But your speedo only goes up to 120 mph?

Thanks for wows. Nah, they are barely bright enough. They dim too. I wish the speedo was the 160 version, but size, price and lack of sender sent me to this gauge. I have a S tranny (didn't at the time) in there now and I consider changing for an electronic one (160), but I have spent enough on this dash. Not to be defensive , but if you are looking down at your speedo past 120, your doing something wrong.

what year is that, i've been considering alternative dash lighting for awhile (i was originally considering white leds, etc to replace those regular bulbs but now im having second thoughts).

if thats an 83 what did you do to your dash?

It is a pod that was made for me by a local. I had an annoyingly bad experiences with the stock gauges and went aftermarket (Autometer). Here is my original post for a deeper explanation https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ight=autometer Here is the space photo:

No, it reads zero. I was sitting in my garage with my finger over the flash on my son's digital camera - it does not have a manual mode. Sorry for the crappy photos.

Sorry, it was a "Back to the Future" reference. The time machine DeLorean had to go 88 mph.
