Default Glyco Bearings

I am planning to use Glyco main and rod bearings in my new motor. Anyone have good or bad experience with them? Same as original porsche, right?

I have had good luck with them. They are manufactured by Federal Mogul and they make most of the engine bearings in the world, if you believe what my machinist tells me.

I have been using them since 1971. I thought that's what came in them.

I used Glyco bearings in my 85.5 when I rebuilt it 5 years ago. Used the 85.5 as my daily beater since then, 60K plus miles, hammering it on a daily basis. No problems, even with 10-30W oil in the winter.

Glyco has been around since 1897 and is the largest supplier of bearings in Germany. Federal-Mogul purchased Glyco in 1990 but allowed manufacturing to be independent and they cross manufacture OE bearings for new domestic and imported cars now. Good reputation.
