Default Power seat connections / wiring questions...

Got some new seats out of a 911 and was curious if anyone could help me out a bit with wiring. The seller said the seats were hardwired into his 86 911 which I thought was odd but anyway he basically cut the wires to remove the seats, and then to reuse the seats he rewired the drivers side so he could swap it in and out. I would prefer to obtain the factory connectors from a donor set and rewire them correctly but if its simple enough I may just cut the connector and wire them directly into the 44's wiring.

Here are some pics of my two harnesses (drivers side has 2..not sure what to do about that - why 2 when the pass side only has 1?) and the bottom of each seat.

Drivers side of car wiring:

Passenger side of car wiring:

Bottom of drivers seat:

Bottom of pass. seat:

Also does anyone have a good source for the vertical power switches? Can I replace just the rocking switch (the drivers seat is missing one switch) or do I just need to replace the entire switch assembly?

Thank you, sorry for the million questions!

Uh, I can see the switch connector on the bottom of the seat right in your picture, it is attached to the zinc bracket, that is where it should disconnect. Your 944 plug should plug right into that.

HAHa, I just went and looked, you are right. He thought they were hard wired but he just didnt disconnect them, sweet - no wiring work needed. Thanks Doc.

That's funny. The first time I pulled the drivers seat I couldn't find that plug to save me. I just finished my rear seat delete/packgage tray/soundproofing/stereo project today and had to plug that thing back in while wrestling the seat. I can't figure out why Porsche left bare metal exposed under the passenger seat but not under the drivers side. The double-foiled heat/sound matting worked great, the car is much quieter now and I'm hoping the floor and tunnel remain cooler.

Hey Sam. I think the second wire on the DS seat is for the seatbelt indicator. No need (or place) to connect that one on our cars.

Lol, yea sometimes it just takes a second look I am pretty sure any 80's-early 90's era porsche seat are directly interchangable.
