Default Eurosport in Chasrlotte,NC

Considering the purchase of a 944NA that's had extensive work by Barry Bircumshaw of Eurosport. Anyone have knowledge or experience with this shop....good or bad. trying to make purchase decision. Any help appreciated

I don't know if this is the same shop, but if it is, they're on Lindsey Racing's 'Fecal Roster', as they call it. (a.k.a. '**** list') If it is, I'm not sure how much I'd trust the shop as a whole- Mechanic might be great, though. Take with the usual block of salt.

By the way, welcome to the forums! You won't find many places with more good info on the 944 and related cars, or Porsches in general, for that matter.

Got any additional info on the car? Specifics are good- We'll be able to help more if we've got more to go on!

I haven't had a lot of work done with them as I do all my own work but.....I just finished a long rebuild of my 951 getting all the maintenence up to date from sitting for 2 years. When I brought the car from my garage in Raleigh to my new garage in Charlotte I noticed a brake leak. I had no jack, stands, tools, bleader with me....nothing. The plan was to take the car on our honeymoon the next week. I dropped the car off to them last minute and said I needed it back by sunday. I got a call during my rehearsal Friday saying that the car was done and all I owed them was for a part and 1/2 hour labor. Payed over the phone and picked the car up when I got back in town just in time to take it on the honeymoon. They saved the day and let me include my dad in my wedding/honeymoon(he passed away a few years back and all I have is his car). I would highly recommend them to anyone. They really helped me out when I needed someone. Go check out there set up...very professional.

Cheers, Josh

Not the top Porsche shop in Charlotte (That would be Eurowerks IMHO) but they do know 944's. I would still have a PPI done on the car by another mechanic, because even if the shop did good work it does not mean the 944 would be problem free.

I"m sorry....I read that wrong. I was referring to Eurowerks. I don't think Eurosport is open anymore. I got the feeling that they were connected in some way. Anyway...I"m sorry...I guess nothing I said has anything to do with your situation but take the car to Eurowerks and get it checked out. I haven't heard anything bad about eurosport I just don't think their doors are open any longer. Sorry for the misread. Good luck and let me know if I can do anything for you.

Cheers, Josh

not sure what extensive work means, but ditto Ian - take for PPI at Eurowerks (Jim Burton) I think they charge $95 bucks to PPI a 944.

+1 for Eurowerks. Good group of guys (Both Jim and Ian). They did my clutch replacement a year ago, as I was too lazy to spend 14 hours on my back in the driveway.
