With no changes at all - 85.5 - 87.
If you want to change the DME and AFM you could use an 88 or 89.
If you want to drill out and retap the fitting for the temp sensor, and transfer over your fuel rail and stuff you could use anything 83 up, as long as it had the longer crank nose for the power steering.
Do you need a whole engine, just a head or just a bottom end? A few guys on here are parting cars. Every once in a while one will show up on eBay, as long as you avoid that place in Atlanta.

You want an easy way out...........huh? Well.........find another '87 engine. Look anwhere that makes sense like a re-cycler, ads in the paper for one thats "totalled", of maybe ask here if any one has one for ya. Ya gonna play, your gonna pay.

You can always ask a Porsche re-cycler also.
