Default Greaseslingers Day at Range Photos - OT Not 56K friendly

Here goes. It is really hard to size these to fit so I hope they are viewable...

Lets start with the small guns!

Now some people shots:
Josh968 in the first pic
Red1 (Brian) in the second pic loading one of them
Me firing Glock 19
Me firing the big bad *** cannon!!
Brian showing the cannon in full recoil (great shot Josh!)
Lastly, the hand cannon showing how bad *** it really is!! I got luck enough to put 4 on top of each other. The hole in the target by the 8 shows how large that really is. Cool gun, I need one!

And now for the rifles! These guys have a truly great collection and I was very appreciative of them letting me use them. I will be adding one of my own as soon as possible.

A little bit of firepower:
First pic is a nice shot of a pretty full gun rack
Second is from the back of the same rack
Third is some random guy that was in awe of the weaponry, it was really funny, he just had to stop and look!

This post is dedictated mostly to the barrel on this rifle. It is the sexiest thing I have seen that didnt have breasts. This sucker was a show stopper and while not my favorite to shoot it sure looks nice.

Brian in the first two and me in the next one:

Me shooting Brian's Colt AR15

A big thanks to those guys for letting me play with their toys. Josh is a damn good shot and Brian has a small arsenal at his house(he aint a bad shot either)! You do NOT want to break in there. We only took a sampling of what he had at his place and it filled the back seat of an F250 (4 door!). I am pretty sure we fired a few hundred dollars in ammunition ( I probably put 300+ rounds through the Glock alone). We stayed until they kicked us out that nice then headed to Keith's Taj Mahal (dont let him kid you, it is that nice!). I huge thanks to Joyce and Keith for letting us hang at their place, eat their food and just unwind.

It was great to see almost the entire group again. James and Kevin managed to make it, notable because James live squarely in BFE and Kevin is on retail work hours. Others that attended were:
Keith (icat)
LTLJT1 (I think that is his screen name)
Brian (jenket944)
Steve L (a buddy of mine with a GT3, of course, he is the ONLY one that drove his Porsche!)
Me
Red1 (Brian)
Josh968
Kevin Baker
Goingboeing737 (James - I will get to the Lake House next time which could be soon!)

In all a great time, thanks again to everyone. Brian, be sure to tell Beck thanks for letting me crash at your place as usual.

Looks like fun! Is the rifle with the sexy barrel a modified AR-15? It sure looks like one from the midsection on back. The stock and barrel look very customized. Is the sexy metal tip a supressor? I'm not too educated with firearms but I've inherited a couple and have been to a range once or twice. I play alot of Counter-Strike too, so I can recognize a bunch of modern rifles and handguns.

Chris, a whole bunch. Between Josh, Brian and myself probably over 1500 rounds, maybe more, we were there for 4 hours. The rest of the group shot quite a few too.

Ian, yes, it is an AR, no supressor. Brian built that one so the whole thing, I suppose, is custom.

It is an AR15, but if I told you the makers of the parts the names probably wouldn't mean anything to you. I built it from a selection of parts to get what I wanted. I've done that to a couple and I still have more in various stages of completion.

I regret we didn't get shots of some of the other guys. Jeff (Littlejt1) and his brother in law Jason had some nice pistols, and of course Steve had some neat stuff too. Duh, we didn't even get a group photo. Matt was so fired up to start shooting we just got busy busting caps and didn't even think of it.

Range days are always fun. Hats off to Josh for coming up with the plan.

Too bad we didn't get a shot of me shooting the .300. With my bad shoulder, I can only mange six shots and that was enough. Damn it hurt. The rest of you weenies wouldn't even try it.

I love that pic of "random guy". When we started loading the rack people started gathering around. Great day.

I shot about 400 rds pistol and rifle, incl. the IDPA match I shot that morning. And the rifle I have in the pic is Scott's FN FAL, a pre-ban! That thing was sweet. I think I am going to have to build one, just because I can

It was a blast, literally, and we will have to do it again soon. Good to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones.

Wow, I was thinking it's an AR10 (7.62mm AR). One of my SE-R buddies has one. Hubba hubba. Next time I'm in SoCal he's promised to take me shooting. His collection looks like what y'all have on display as well some other cool stuff (including a General Motors produced M1 Carbine that has been restored).

You Texas guys are almost as crazy as us Oregon shooters.
GOD BLESS TEXAS!
