What I've been considering is running only one muffler in the centre position. This might have a slight weight advantage (centre of the car) but mainly I'm keen on the outlaw look of a straight pipe. Plus, I think the long straight section might give a real ring to the exhaust - and it may be possible for me to DIY the fabrication for the rear section.

Older English cars like Aston DB2 ran a centre muffler and long exhaust pipe and sounded pretty tasty.

Anyone run an exhaust like that?
