Just because he gave his 944n/a the "turbo look" successfully, does not constitute him as an asset to this board. He think he knows EVERYTHING about these cars, and likes to play Devil's Advocate, calling people's bluff. He claims to be a "historian"......but he is nothing more than an overweight, wannbe chef...j/k! Obviously, Tifosimian has his favorites...but I am NOT one of them!

I'd have to dissagree. In his own very special way, Tifo is/was an asset to this board. Rock, shame on you for saying that!!!!

I wont get into to many details here, but Tifo was very helpful in answering the barrage of questions i was sending to him back and fourth about upgrading to the 951 Brembo's. As well as a alot of information on control arms and my best choices to go with balljoints on my lowered car and bushings choices. Also alot of info about putting the 951 side skirts onto my car. All of this done off the board through email. Did i mention he also saved me $26 by sending me a extra set of spacer washers for the rear turbo brakes, free of charge?

Unlike Dilhole who has yet to contribute anything (yet makes outrageous claims) Tifo actually DOES know what he is talking about.

I hate to have to stand up for anyone (because no grown adult needs another to do that for them) but if you think he contributed nothing then you must have been under a rock for the last few years.

Yes, he is short with his answers and can be abrasive (as can I) but it takes all sorts to make the world turn. However, BS like this is why you dont see many of us around in the Tech forums anymore. It is just not worth the time to post an answer to a question and have 13 guys who have never done it question your response.

Granted, Like Dilberto, I'm not on Tifo's favourites list. he's given me some great tech advice, and we've also had our arguments through PM's. I do see him as an asset to the board. he's a fountain of knowledge for the 944 series cars. However, IMHO, he is also a bit cocky... But, I'm just hoping that my ebay thread isn't what made him skeedadle...

I almost chimed in on the ebay thing and I did question his position on a different thread about the same issue. It seems to me the one hole in the usually impeccible Tifo logic. I think it would take much more than that to make him quit posting again.

There was one thread where he was talking about selling his car and getting something different. Maybe he is on the Honda boards! Could be a conspiracy!

Really guys we all will move on from here someday. If it is true I will miss his presence but I am sure someone else will come forward with the correct technical answers.

Geoff, I dont think that was it. More a matter of a build up of things rather than one particular person or post. The tech forums have become very frustrating for some of us.

dilberto just curious, has he done anything wrong to you personally?
He DOES know alot of stuff about these cars, there is a hand full of people on here that i PM sometimes with ridiculous (tec) questions. Just like everyone else he always and i mean always, answers the questions to help me out without any smart remark what so ever. So to me, your post doesn't make sense.

Uh, didn't Dan say Tifo is merely out of town?

Hey Tifo, I have a Q about how the Cup STB fit with the stock airbox. PM when you get a chance.

Oh, and clear out some space in your PM inbox.

Michael, you are better off emailing him. I will let him know you are trying to reach him. He isnt really monitoring the forums much.
