Default *January* 944 Variant Race Car Of The Month

After a suggestion from a thread I started with a ton of 944 turbo cup car pictures I decided to start something new for rennlist. A sort of race car of the month thing, so that people can learn more about other's cars and setups etc.
I took some time for my first month to start out with actually a pair of cars that deserve the january title. I wanted to start out with 2 cars that were a little less extreme than the following months will be. The idea was to get people interested in seeing what kind of cars we could display....

For more Ideas, comments, etc. Please email me Macfreak007@insightbb.com

AND... If you would like to see your car featured here in the next few months, show me your car, and we will see if you have what it takes...

with out furthur adue, the January 944 Variant Race Car/and one street car, in this case
brought to you by Gustaf Burström....

Basically me and my friend have been into 944 Turbo and 968 a long time and
recently we decided to make a joint track car out of his black 951. So in
the same moment we started our own "team" Revline Racing just for fun.
So my green car became the RR 400 Street and the track car to be became RR
300 Track

The track car is being built for the Swedish Michelin Porsche Challenge
racing series. It's quite strictly rules hp vs weight so for the engine is
only slightly modified to around 320 bhp.

During the coming season we will not compete with the track car. We will use
the season to find a good set up and just have fun!
So the car will have most of the interior etc left until season 2006.

I could go on and on about the green car, but I'll make that story short
When I bought the car soon 3 years ago it was black and more or less stock.
I don't know how many hours I have worked on that car but its very very
many!! The results are a car that looks like new and runs like it's being
chased by a demon

It is a cool idea, the only thing is there are so many great rides out there...there has to be an incentive to get that spot...like maybe a feature on the rennlist main site, or General Discussions Forum...or a prize of some sort?

Edit: btw I see you've adopted the infamous 944 tiger lady...she's a beaut'!

While those are very, very nice cars, I openend this thread expecting to see a "race car" like the title of the thread indicated.

Sorry to dissapoint you tifo, I see your point.
Perhaps it also should be clarified that the pics of the black car is before the transformation to a track car begun. I'll make sure to post pics when it really "is" a track car and not "on the way to be" a track car

Hey, not disappointed!

I just thought by seeing the word "race" I was going to see a cup car or 944spec car, that's all!

It's sorta like reading a post title that says "Photos of Jennifer Aniston inside!!!" and finding out that it really is Jennifer Garner.

All good stuff..........

Tifo, Point well taken. The plan with this first one was to get the word out, for instance someone just emailed me, and I think I may have found our febuary winner, lets just say.... its been to lemans....

Duke does have some nice cars though, and I can't wait to see the black one when its done.

Those are beautiful!!! I'm one of many who lust after your RUF wheels!

How about just making the thread a 944 of the month thread? There are tons of people on Rennlist with amazing 944 series cars that deserve to be shown off like this, but aren't necessarily "race" cars that aren't street legal. Take Tifo's 944 for example. That would make it alot more enjoyable for everyone to read. We will still get the same feedback from the members on both street and race cars without being so selective on the candidates. just a suggestion!

LOL, it's highly doubtful that anyone here would care to read about my car, but thanks for the sentiment and kind words!
