Anyone running Fuzion ZRI tires? What ya think of em?
Getiting 16" wheels finally, looking at the Fuzion ZRI tires, made by bridgestone. Tire rack feed back reports sound pretty good. Even one from a 944, said the felt just like the Potenze RE750's he took off. Local Firestone store gave me a price that competes with tire rack so guess that's not bad. $460 for all 4 installed. 205-55/16's and 225-50/16's. Even tho Tire rack was cheaper, after shipping, mounting and all the final price came out to within $30, so not much savings there.
What ya'll think of them there Fuzzy-Ion's?
Thanks,
Bill
P.S. Will post pics when I get the new tires and wheels on...Ya gonna love em.

There are 2 Rennlister's that I know of that are running them. Dave and Jaak Lepson.
I'm planning on RE750's also but for the price, Fuzions may be the way to go.
Matt should be chiming in here any minute...

Actually, I compared them with the RE-730s (unless it's a typo), but I'll stand by my review. The 750's probably are a little better at the limit but for the price I can't complain. Best bang for the buck I've found.

Glad someone made a post about tires. I am wondering what are some good quality brands of tires for when that time comes for me to swap out. The other question is how many miles do most of you suggest on your tires?

Hey, Thanks all,
Dave, sorry, I guess it was 730's. Was a couple days ago that I read the reviews. Going from memeory, my mistake. And to all others that are running them, thanks for the reports. Sounds like I finally have my mide made up. So many brands, such a wide price range, it's hard to make a decision. Seeing that I only put about 6000 miles a year on the car, I'd hate to buy a set of tires that I didn't like or didn't perform on a 944 and then be stuck with them for a long time till they wore out. Should be a couple weeks and then they'll be on the car. Again, thanks all and will be looking forward to some new rubber ans spirited driving ahead.

MIchelle, let us know what you think after you get some miles on em.

Well, I didn't have the full set until today (fronts on Mon, rears today), so I came the back way home where there are few tight curves and plenty of open space. I noticed right away that they were quieter than my other set (cheap Road Huggers from Discount and a Kumho). They were also much smoother. Beabea tended to run through the curves with a "grippier" feel, but since my first set were cheap I can't really give you a good comparison. Overall. the car felt VERY good (tight) on the road. However, I've treated myself to a 930s steering wheel so that may be part of it too
The long and short of it is that I'm quite happy with these tires and would recommend them for their price range. Thanx Matt for a nice tip
