Default Cinci timing belt change... I do have money

My car needs a belt change. Does anyone in cinci know how to change it?

I think just the belt itself would be fine. The rollers and waterpump were all done at 50,000 miles. That was either 6 or 4 years ago.

Maybe if we could get a little pizza... and a timing belt ya know.

Hell we can do it at my house. 3 Car garage, and a POOL!

Anyway i just wanted to know if anybody can do a timing belt near me.

Well, I have the Krikit tension guage (of course, who doesn't at $9.99). I did my own belts with help/supervision, but that was almost two years ago. I don't think you'd want me being the only help for the job (I have the memory of a flea).

If anyone else wants to help, I'd be glad to join in. This weekend is totally out for me - when were you wanting to do it?

Dale.

P.S. I saw you mention needing a new avatar - I suggest keeping the current one. I enjoy it.

Hah. Ill keep this avatar then.

I am free anytime. I wanted to do it at a time that is best for everybody involved. Yes 944fest project does sound good, but I wonder if my belt will last that long.

Heres what I THINK I know about it (my stepdad doesnt remeber anything about this car).

- Changed at 50,000 miles. The car now has 78,000
- It was changed in 1998 OR 2000. I would imagine in 1998 because my stepdad got the car at 49,000 miles.
- It was supposed to last until 100,000 miles.

Worse case scenario, the belt is 6 years old, best case its 4 yeas old.

The belt scares me every time i drive the car.

I could do it for you but I'm in Dayton and I wouldn't be able to do it until the 2nd or 3rd week of June.
If you can wait that long and get it up here to my place I'd be more than happy to help.
