Rod Bearings
Hey, everybody,
Planning to pull the engine on my 924s to do rod bearings in a couple weeks (as a preventive measure (most likely will be a LeMons car)). Looking for some recommendations on the parts list for the job. I'll be doing the balance shaft delete, as well (don't try to talk me out of it), so I'm planning to use the pick up tube reinforcement from Paragon. Trying to keep this as minimal as possible, my list so far:
-Main seals
-Oil pan gasket
-rod bearings
I appreciate any input on the subject in general!

AND:
keep a sharp eye on your fuel rail, because it will crack and spray fuel everywhere.

Run the shafts, it will make you more reliable. Also you don't need to pull the motor to do the rod bearings. Get an engine support bar (harbor freight $60ish) and drop the crossmember and pan to get to them.
I just did them in my car over a weekend, its really not that bad. I didn't even take the rack off the crossmember or pop the tie rods, i just slid it forward and worked.
