I recently Aquired a 79 924, It has been sitting for several years, I went to drain the tank and clean the fuel pump and one of the Nuts on the external pump broke off,

So Before I go throwing parts at it, I want to know what is needed to convert it to a single external pump from the current 2 pump setup.

From my understanding a in tank strainer (928 201 081 04) is used to replace the in tank pump, Then a Walbro GCL604-1 Or the better priced AUTOBEST F4170

Is there also need for a check valve somewhere?
