Default Rad fans not working

Have just noticed that my rad fans are not working. I have never had my car over heat yet, but when I'm idling in traffic my gauge goes up rapidly. As long as I'm moving it stays remarkable at optimal temp. I checked to see if the fans in deed are not working, and they do not. I have checked to make sure they are connected at the fan and they are. Could it be just a fuse or a relay? If so, which would it be and how would I access the fuse box.

Am I correct in saying that fuse #3 should be for the rad fans? If so does anything look wrong? I checked the contacts and they seem fine. What else could I check? I've checked the connection to the fans themselves and again they are fine. I'm stuck as for what to do.

Should there be something here? Because I don't see anything matching the pelican picture.

What year are we talking about?

Have you poked around on the 924board? Lots of knowledge there on the 924.

Like this post for example:

I checked on a few places. They said to check around the ground wires for debris. While I was checking the grounds I realized that the thermostat wires were green and lumpy with corrosion. I'm assuming that this would be the reason for malfunction. I figure it wouldn't be a bad idea to just replace the thermostat, plug and connectors because of it. They're about $15 each on pelican. I have no idea how I missed that corrosion though, while I had my engine out last summer. It's on my 87' 924S. Anything I should check as precaution? I'll be working under my car till this Saturday (June 7) working on my new tie rod ends, shocks and bushings.
