Default 924s motor change elect. plugs

I swaped the a a 1986 944 motor into a 87 924S. changed elect on motor to a diffrent 924S wires. Hooking up under dash wires I found out the the replacement motor harness has the wide black plug next to the DME plug. Whereas, mine has a four prong red plug. what are these wires for and could I just swap the plugs or do I have to swap the harness back to orignal from the car? Also, what is the sender on the side of the oil pan for?

I went through this installing 924s into 944. The circuits are all there but the 924s uses the old style connectors. You should print out the two wiring diagrams to make the swap.

The oil pan on the 944 has low oil sensor. Not used on 924s.
