Length of '80 931 snail shell torque tube?
Hello,
I'm considering using the 931 snail shell torque tube in another vehicle. Does anyone know (1) the length of the housing and (2) how far the shaft sticks out of the front? The first measure is the one I really need. If anyone has their car off the ground and can take a quick measure I would greatly appreciate it.

BT,
It appears that no one has any apart right now. I would check on the 924 board at www.924board.org . Also, have you checked on the 928? The shaft on it has a slip joint which may more accomodating to your modification.
