924S Radio Options/Antenna Questions
My 1987 924S came with a broken Blaupunkt Charleston(casette). I'd like to replace it with a newer Blaupunkt with CD. Will they basically all fit in it's place?
How does the antenna work? Do I always have to pull up the antenna manually and push it down manually and what is the key that I have for it good for? People steal antennas? Was this a power antenna? It doesn't go up when the power to my radio goes on. Any help appreciated

yeah, i have a newer blaupunkt with cd (Casablance CD50) and it fits perfect. i have a 924S with no options so i got the manual antenna and i just leave the antenna up all the time. as for the key: i just got one with the new antenna i bought (old one got hit by an enormous bird trying to fly away from my car but i was going to fast ) and i have no idea what it's for, but in the diagram i have of it seems like you can lock it in the down position i believe. i'm just guessing at that.

there should be two power leads behind your radio...one is red and this is for power to your radio, the other is white and is for the power to your antenna, most new cd players come with the connection for your power antenna...Leadfoot <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />
