Cool Unique Car Care - Wakefield, MA

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to formally introduce myself to all of you New England members. My name is Rick Nelson and I own a detail shop in Wakefield, MA (Unique Car Care). I just signed up as a sponsor and will be posting up some of my work in the “Concours and Car Care” section regularly. If anyone is interested in our services or has any questions, feel free to drop me a PM or e-mail me at Rickrack79@hotmail.com. My website is currently under construction, which I hope to have up and running by the end of February.

We offer a variety of services including auto detailing, extensive paint correction, paint protection film (clear-bra), paintless dent removal, alloy wheel repair, interior/leather repair, window tinting, vinyl wraps and more.

Please take a moment to check out the Unique Car Care introduction thread to see some of our work and the cool cars we are lucky enough to work on: https://rennlist.com/forums/concours...es-inside.html

I’m looking forward to meeting up with some of you this year at car shows, rally’s, etc…

Best regards,
~Rick Nelson (Unique Car Care)

Rick,
Welcome to Rennlist! I am the president of the NH region for PCA. Would you be interested in hosting an open house? Maybe a tech session this winter? You could show the folks the proper way to detail car Porsche. Send me a PM if interested. - Jay

Thanks Jay!

I recognize your avatar from Yuppie...

I am definitely interested in setting up some kind of tech session or detail day.

Winter is actually a good time since I get pretty busy as soon as the weather breaks. I am having my floors at the shop refinished in the next two or three weeks, so towards the end of February would be good.

Lets talk soon and get this rolling

Talk to you soon,
~Rick

Thanks for the kind words, Lewis!

I hope all is well and you have been enjoying the Turbo.

I have a bunch of pictures from the detail I'll have to post up sometime.

Stop by the shop sometime if you're ever in the area...

Rick,
I will have my tech chair contact you to set something up. Maybe you could show folks the proper way to buff a 911. Having been in the detail business myself in another life time, I will guess most people wouldn't be interested in attempting it.
We had a tech session last Saturday and we had 44 people there!

Another very satisfied customer of Rick's. He's very knowledgeable and truly cares about his work. He'll cater the treatment to what you want/need. He did a great job and I'm looking forward to going back!

Rick transformed my 964; it literally looked like a different car when he was done. I have an appointment in early spring for a quick “re-fresh”.

Jay Gratton: I'm definitely looking forward to setting something up in the near future. Thanks for reaching out. I'll let you know when I hear from Bob.

Bugeye: Thank you very much for the kind words! Looking forward to seeing you in the spring. You have one of the nicest C4's around!

paa502: I still have a bunch of pictures from when I worked on your car and will try to get them up sometime soon. Glad you're happy with how the car turned out. Hurry up spring!!

lexart: Thank you! Stop-in sometime if you're ever in the area.

Although I do my own detailing I had Rick perform the clear bra install on my Spyder. If anyone is looking for a good installer, he is your guy! He is also very up front about what is and isn't possible and the intricacies of clear bra installations.

Thanks Afshin. I'm glad you're happy with the clear bra and hopefully we'll see each other at a car show or two this summer. I worked last summer away, so hopefully I will be able to break away from the shop this year.

the Turbo, yes garage queen, didn''t look that good when it rolled off the line in 2001.
Simply amazing, even today.
Pictures don't do your work justice, they are so much more impressive in person.

Good to hear, Lewis.

Does your wife still have the 993?
