Default 914 as a rally car

So I'm more familiar with the 944 model than the 914 but I've always wanted one and I've decided that the next car project I get will be a drift car or rally car, but nowadays u gotta be putting out lots of hp to keep up with all the other drift cars. So rally car sounds more fun but what would be needed to rally a 914 suspension wise ?

Elephant Racing, in Silicon Valley, CA, has the parts and info you need to raise a 914 properly. A 914 is a little limited compared to more current offerings but if you have a solid car with a solid motor and some cash, go for it.

The problem is that the car is really not competitive without extensive modification as compared to say a 944 or 924s. Those cars are cheap plentiful and easy to make even more competitive. 914s are now museum pieces that even in racing trim, are not really used that much for true competition, and to take a stock car and now modify it for those purposes is sacrilege. I would suggest going back to the 944 and restore your 914 to original stock configuration
