What happened to Porsche 914 n°0130005?
This pre-series 914-6 from 1969 was used as a project by period French coach builders.
It was recently restored to concours condition.
Enjoy.

Fully agreed with all above that it did not deserve to go in a production line and it is probably better that it remained a project. It's a pity that it was not Bertone or Pininfarina who gave it a try. It might have ended up as something more memorable.
Nonetheless I think it is interesting to see how ideas on design have evolved over the last 45 years and still some really ugly cars are made today.

The angle on the panel under the B pillar, and the beltline give it the sagging appearance. Look at the rockers, they are arrow straight.
I normally wouldn't comment, but man oh man is that one horrible design. I can't imagine whoever did this, when finished, stepped back and said "wow, what a beautiful creation". They must have known they were creating a train wreck.
My guess is the designer went into hiding and deep depression after finishing this, never to be heard from again.
Is there anyone who thinks this is a nice design? Someone must have that sort of taste? Maybe the guy with the green room and green clothes who bought a green amc gremlin?
Sorry for the stream of consciousnesses, but this picture has affected me. I need to go take my mind off it.
