Default 914 specialists in California

Hi:

I may be shipping back (from TN) my original high school/college 914. Is there anyone in California that you guys would recommend for engine work / restoration?

The car has not run for 4-5 years.

Thanks in advance.

Tom

Did you end up shipping the car? If so, Glenn (NineOneFour): 213-909-2528 can restore it for you for a fraction of the places above. You can get the parts yourself from Autoatlanta & he'll restore it for you for a very reasonable price

give Werks II a call in Burbank.
Galen used to race them and has a hoard of them in storage.
Not a bad source.

Thanks for the #'s. Trying to sort out my Dad's estate and which brother really wants the car/project. In the event I do not end up with the car, I will pass the above on to my brother that does.

Where are you going to be, more precisely? California is an awfully big place...

campbellcj: I am in OC and my brothers are in Fresno. While I would love to restore the car I drove in High School, I am not sure it is is the cards. 1) Going back to 3 P cars may make the wife crazy. And 2) I have a son at USC. I joke that it is like leasing a Rolls, but you never get to drive it/see it/use it.
