I'm looking at a 74. "Supposedly" 55k miles. My guess it's flipped.

No rust anywhere Fresh paint. Runs and drives with a clean well kept interior.

Buyer is asking $18 but will take $16.

Does that seem fair if everything is in good order?

It's a 2 liter car.

Market is all over the place and I have no experience with the street cars.

I hate to say that it seems about right if the car is as described.

Find someone local who knows 914's and see if they'll look at it. If you're willing to pay top dollar, and even though it's a pain, you ought to at least loosen or take off one of the rocker panels, preferrably on the pass side (so you get a better look at the hell hole) and see what the jack support and inner longitudionals look like. Rust can really hide in there and lots of crap can collect in there over the years and fester!!

'73 is the best year but '74 isn't bad. As noted elsewhere, mechanical stuff is easy to fix compared to bodywork and rust repair!!

15K for a good solid 4 cylinder probably isn't unreasonable.
