Amazing! I agree with Brad, look at those LE's sitting outside. Very cool!

What's so funny is that the first 914 I saw that had GT flares I hated. I really didn't like the boxy looking flares. And I think it was because the one I saw didn't have wide enough tires to fill the fenders.
Now? I completely agree. I'm not a fan at all of stock 914's (obviously...based on my two)

To continue on the 'many cars at Black Forest' theme, at one point, I owned 5 914's and a '69 911...all of which were at John's at the same time.

Oh, and inside the trailer is John's rust free Bumblebee. It's stripped down to metal and primer. He wants to restore it perfectly correct.

Very cool. I'll have to stop by BFR next time I'm down that way. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a backpad and a (round button) rear view.
Thanks for sharing Bob.

so...the world of BFR has changed a little....

Black Forest Racing is John Forbes - the 914 guy. He and his partner Lou Smith split up and Lou moved down the street to start a new company - Exclusive Motorwerks - in a brand new 10,000 sq ft building. That's where my cars are right now getting suspension repair and stiffening brackets welded/installed.

John is still the primary 914 guy and still has all the 'stuff' that he's had forever. Lou works on just about any Porsche and other German cars (and has been known to work on a Noble or two).
