Default Im considering a 914

I want to trade my 84 944 for a decent 914, i know that finding a rust free one in my price range is almost impossible. So I'm just looking for one that doesn't have rust in the critical areas. My 944 has the m747 sport suspension, leather/cloth sport seats, actual 15x7 & 15x8 black/silver Fuchs wheels. The timing belt i don't know how old it is, i tightened it about 1000 miles ago. I installed new plugs, steering rack bushings, oil, trans axle fluid, new short shifter, waxed it all in the last 1000 miles. It runs and drives great, it has a steering wheel shimmy above 60 mph. i checked both tie rods and they have no play, so it needs a wheel balance. there's no leaks at all out the engine, i live in Federal way, Washington which is near the Seattle/Olympia area so if you can help me find that..it would be appreciated.

here's some pictures:

Are you looking to trade your 944 for a 914? Or are you looking for help just selling it? Sorry, I am little confused. However, congrats on wanting a 914.

Hmmmmm, I have owned both. How much do you think your 944 is worth? I think you might have better luck selling the 944 out right and then buying a 914.

To be honest, unless you have have another $3-4K to put with that $2.7K I don't think you are going to get much of a 914. A good one is hard to find for less then $6K at this point. You can find them for less, but they will need a good amount and if it is rusted then forget it. How much do you have in your budget above the 944? We can help you find one if we know that.
