looking at those sail panels, I'm sure there are NO longitudionals anymore- take the top off and I bet you can't close the doors...

Not worth saving. Unless you had it in the family for years and wanted to save it...

(my '73 had more rust than I thought it did, but I spent more than it's probably worth because of sentimental value, which no one else can gauge. It is now nearly perfect and stronger than OEM with Brad Mayeur's parts! That car, and my silver one, which I've had since new will never leave the family anyway.)

Yes, I pushed my fingers on the sail panels.... very soft underneath. Oh well will wait until another comes along then try again!

I think that is a good move to wait, you will find another. You would quickly be into that car for more then you paid for it. You are better off buying a better car, there really aren't any short cuts when buying a 914. Spend it now or spend MUCH more later.

Hey Peter.... I offered him a price for the car for parts, hate to just see it sit somewhere and rot. If I do get it I will defiantly let you know, and go from there. Is the Back pad a hard piece to take out?

G
P.s I'm in Canada, so don't know what it would cost to ship it either..

You can put them in your basement next to the engine that you forgot to ship to me...

Says it doesn't run, but just waiting for his email to tell me what he thinks is wrong with it. Can you guys take a look at some pics and let me know if it might be worth the effort. We are thinking of doing the 914ev to it, but would like to get it running as a driver first.

Owner says its a 74.

From the pics can you guys tell what type of 914 etc, factory motor etc..

Thx for your time
Gord

It looks like the back of the driver side door gap is missing. It could just be the picture, but if there is no gap then the longitudinal is probably junk. I would be wary of buying a sagging car. Like someone else said take the roof off and try to close the doors.

I know! Charge Jay enough for the wheels to cover the cost of the backpad (I'll have to dye it!), and then all I'll have to pay is shipping! One bicycle box, some crumpled newspaper, hey, this might work.
