Welcome to the world of rust.
Pelicanparts.com
Great site. They have a 914 (along with 911, 924, 944..etc..) buying guide, what to look for, what to avoid.
Read up on 914's. They are great fun but can also be frustrating. The biggest problem is RUST.
I bought mine a couple of months ago and it has it, but not in the critical areas. Beware of the rust free cars because more than likely they are not.

Enjoy the search. Buy the best one you can afford.

Thanks for the reply. I've been reading on pelicanparts.com got some good info. I also have a issue of Road & Track from June 1970. The issue has a comparison between the 914, Fiat 124, MGB, and TR-6. Overall the 914 got second, it also list specs on all the cars. I have a whole stack of Road & Track, Car and Driver ect. from that period with diff 914 articals. If I can't find a car in state I might either drive to get one, or have one shipped here. I also have access to a full shop, it's nice having friends who build race cars . Thanks for the help and I'm sure i will have many other questions for you guys.
