Default 912 salvage yards fine - Value?

Hey guys,
I'm a 944 guy but I couldn't pass up a salvage yard find. It's a 1967 Porsche 912 that I got for $250. The floor boards are all rusted out. What is it worth?

Sweet. I started looking on ebay and I think I can squeeze a few more dollars out for a sale. I'm not trying to be greedy but my 944 could use the money

If you part it out you'll get more, but then you have labor into it. But, for example, if those front fenders aren't very rusty they could be worth up to $1000 each.

Excellent find. Either salvage yard didn't have a clue as to what they had and what it was worth, or the employee that sold it to you was trying to stick it to the owner.

I actually know the owner personally. I talked to him about the car and told him to look it up and give me a number but don't do me any favors. He sold it to me for what he paid for it. The funny thing is I walked past this car for 3 years in the yard like a clueless dumby. Watching the episode of "Revenge of the Black Sheep 912" got me going in the right direction.

Recently doing repairs to my 944 helped me to realize how easy it is to fix these cars and to see that the damage on the 912 wasn't really that bad.

I have a potential buyer out of New York that is willing to pay my asking price. Fingers crossed - hopefully it isn't a scam. LOL

it will end up costing you a good $20k easily between the rust work, body panels and mechanical. Engine alone, running is around $7k-9k

keep up the faith, or sell it to me!
I have a complete 944 in my driveway, which has not run in years. Wanna trade? PM me if interested. thanks!
