Default Looking for advice on project

Hi gang,
Long time Porsche owner, mainly 80s and later, looking to restore and upgrade an earlier car, late 60s to mid 70s… I would upgrade motor to maybe a bored out SC to 3.4, most critical components brakes, suspension, gearbox… basically looking to upgrade a shell to a very light, more powerful 911 with modern systems… does anyone have any experience with this so they can advise? Mostly looking for how to go about selecting a year(s) and recommendations on shops who could do this with a high degree of quality…
thank you in advance
Speef

Why not go backwards? 80's car with the 3.0 or 3.2 engine already in place and backdate it to a long nose... much easier... imho.

I mention it because you might find a donor car for much less to start with... and the parts to backdate them are easily available... Do share the journey!!
