Default 912/VW

I'm going to look at a 1968 912 with a 2276cc type 1 vw motor in it and a 4 speed transmission tomorrow. I know it's not a number matching car by any means but the pics make it seem like the body is in great shape as well as the interior and from what I have read about a 2276cc Volkswagen engine, it is a stroker motor with between 175 and 200hp. Any thoughts on what a car like this should be worth? Eventually I would like to put a 911 3.2L in it or something like that but for now does anyone have any comments or concerns when it comes to buying 912s and what to look for? Thanks!
Ps I do also own a 1992 964 w/ a real 3.6L that I rebuilt about a year and a half ago too.

If rust free then at least $15,000.
4 speed not good.
Condition of rest of car as well as as much OEM as possible raise price.

I wouldn't put a 3.2 against a 901 gearbox.

Did you end up purchasing the car? I have been looking at a similar modified 912 and was wondering the same on the value.
