Default New 912E owner here... garage build thread

Hello friends! I picked this car up for a decent price to go along with my 1997 993. Shes a bit of a project though, hoping i can complete it over the winter into a "drivers condition" car.

The good:
82k miles
mint interior
runs and drives strong

the bad:
Sunroof is incomplete
P.O. swapped the doors to power windows and there is no wiring harness
P.O. also cut off the original rear wheel arches and welded on steel SC arches
bodywork needs completion and paint

Looking for advice before digging into it... Do i want to source sunroof parts and try to piece it back together, or get a non sunroof roof to re-skin, or get a fiberglass or carbon plug, or permanently mount the sunroof panel in? and for the power windows, should i wire them together, or source manual window regulators? I'm excited to get this car road worthy!

Oh yes!

Leave the sunroof. They are pretty easy to get back up & working. Its no hill for a climber.

That was my original plan but after searching for the parts I need, it seems near impossible! Unless I can find someone with all components from a race car build

There ya' go!

Cool link.

Are you thinking original style car or a R Grouppe / Mangus Walker style? If R Grouppe is the way then shave the rain gutters and make the roof panel solid. Easy as Sunday morning

that link would be a winner, but will those pieces work on a 76?

im also thinking neither R Gruppe or Magnus type builds, just to finish whats been started and call it a day. make sure everything works, heat, radio etc. Probably new window and door seals as well. I'll try to snap some more photos soon
