Default '66 for sale on Craigslist, not mine

Just noticed this posting on my local Craigslist. If I hadn't just purchased on 2014 4S cab I would be test driving this car right now:

Just curious about the price...is this reasonable?

I haven't done much comparison shopping for 912's, but the prices do seem to be highly variable.

$32,000 is pretty much top dollar for a "not perfect" car. It's hard to tell from a low-resolution photo, but the right front of the hood and/or the right front bumper appear misaligned, suggesting hidden damage. It is also missing the right windshield wiper.

No. Its about right.

Here are several "not perfect" 912's for $50k & up that are on the market today off of just one site:

No matter what any of us here think the long hood Porsche has appreciated strongly worldwide. Therefore casting doubt for any tall price has become futile. Prices for real cars are off the chain. This looks to be a real car and attractive. No reason to doubt that it wont sell close to asking when comparing to the others.

Also. These are simple hand built cars. If you find a bumper is misaligned then simply adjust at will. To assume hidden damage from a bumper misalignment on any vintage car is not fair to the car. You have to know the nature of the vintage vehicle and its construction & not paint with such a wide general stroke. Sure the car could have been bumped in its lifetime, but look for real signs of that. Not just bumper bolt fatigue.

I remember when people would say that if the speedometer mile numbers did not line up horizontally then the miles had been rolled back... Too general, and incorrect but lots of people thought that was a fair way to assess a vehicle & miles then.

Its priced on a higher end of the spectrum for a "driver" right now, but it is going to seem like a great deal by 2016 when this car hits 50 years old.
