Default Help on seats

I'm from over on the 964 forum and would like some help for a friend who just bought a "68 912. 10+++ paint, 8++interior, 9+mechanically, but nearly unusable front seats because of the seat-back ratchet-like holding mechanism being shot. We are wondering what to do. Are they repairable? Are there any 911 seats of any vintage that we could fit? Etc, etc.???? Many thanks for any and all responses. By the way, I bought a new black 912 in the spring of 1966. Marvelous car, and now nearly 50 years hence, after some 911's, I could EASILY enjoy owning and driving a 4bangin' Porsche again!! If a 95 point tricked-out 912 didn't cost an arm and a leg nowadays I'd get one. Again, many thanks for any responses, and CHEERS!!!!!!!!
