Jaime is spot on.
I went to that site mentioned 1st & found my numbers all to be in range. Then I ordered up the Cert of Authenticity from Porsche & confirmed all my numbers were factory correct.

I am used to the 914 site and when you put the vin number in it would list the engine number and trans and original color code. How do I order the cert. of authenticity from Porsche on a car that I am interested in?

Better not be a car that you don't have locked down. A COA isn't an instant thing. You wait a couple weeks for the COA and the car is sold by the time you get it.

I thought it was for a car you currently owned...
If this is for a car you are looking to buy, ask the seller if they have a COA... or use the link to the registry to see if the car has been listed.
If I remember correctly, Porsche will not send you a COA if you do not own the car... I think... plus it cost 108.95 (if you belong to PCA) for each COA you request.
