Good lol
I'll be doing quit a bit of reading through all the forums. I think I'm going to build the engine last since it's going to take the most time to learn to do exactly what I'm after.
So far I've sourced a roll bar, fiberglass dash, oe car cover and a wooden shift ****.
Today I drained all the gas out to get read to pull the tank to clean in and replace all the fuel lines. After all work that was done on the car it was parked and never really driven so now it has sentiment in the tank. I'm going to attempt to just pressure wash it out before resealing it. I don't have a large enough area that's heated to so this in.

Looks like I'll be building a 'hot rod' for the fact I just want it lightweight with the same power as a R. I really hate this dubbed name for it.

I tried popping it up with a flat head but, it was stuck. After all work that was done on the car it was parked and never really driven so now it has sentiment in the tank. Question. Is this the only part I need to make the rears easy to adjust the height http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-...042548&vxp=mtr

Or do I also need to purchase more components?
Like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Elephant-Por...50c695&vxp=mtr

Thanks guys!

The adjustable spring plates should go low enough for you. My opinion; do't go with poly-bronze bushes. They are noisy and tend to squeak and create a lot of road noise. Most say the factory rubber is fine. I have a TRE roll bar in my car. What did you get?

I'm looking for the ease of adjusting it with a screw. Can you just use the stock bushings instead of the poly ones?
The brand is unknown of it. I sources it second hand. Ill post pictures of it when it arrives. It looks like the tre but I didn't know the tre one had a cross bar.

Yes. Do a search on the bird, ESR and 912Registry. It's been discussed quite a bit.

Thanks man.
Ended up buying more stuff this weekend lol
I ended up getting the following:
Tre st seats with rails
Moto lita replica wood steering wheel with their hub and horn
Bump steer kit
Tre light weight hood prop
Front and rear hood/engine latch downs with the engine lid hinge
Rear adj spring plates. I know you suggested not getting them but, if they end up making noise ill machine some lower hardness rubber to use.
I just couldn't stand sitting in those orig seats
Hopefully we get some good weather so I can get this stuff installed.

Adjustable spring plates are great. The poly-bronze is the road noise maker.

Pulled the tank yesterday with the 55f weather and this is what came out

Looks like the baffle completely deteriorated.
The tank didn't have a drain plug so not sure where the tank cane from or what was done to it. So I'm assuming the micron filter was clogged not letting fuel properly flow to the engine making it hesitate under acceleration. I'm going to order a 100 liter center fill with neck and a fiberglass hood.

I've never understood why people buy such nice cars and neglect them to the point it cost thousands to repair

I'm just waiting for parts to come in from out of country takes forever but well worth the savings compared to buying them in the states.

It's been a while since I posted. Probably due to working 7 days a week and polar vortex upon polar vortex hitting the region. Today we broke 50 degree, woohoo, until tomorrow when were supposed to get 5" of white death. I got to remove the front lighting bits, hood, and tried to remove the front bumper but, didn't have enough time to get to the bolt strap around the headlight wiring conduit bc I was working on my cayman s and 951. I also removed the hood hinges to take to work to sandblast and drill out. So on to some pictures BTW I am building a 911r if I didn't mention it.

The center fill tank was just laid in bc I wanted to see how it fit.

And some of the cayman s new schenell exhaust
