Ha!
Always wanted one. This one was completed ten years ago then never started or driven. Owner told me he was ready to sell ~ and I had always wanted one like it. Done deal.
I have reset the ride height (done before this photo - it was really high), aligned it, aired up the tires and drained then refilled the oil. Next I will pull the plugs & lube the cylinders then try to turn it over.

Sorry I've been MIA. Thanks for your kind words Mike. Now that is one badass car. Congrats.
Work has me finally busy again. So much that I've been too exhausted to look at the computer screen without falling asleep. I haven't driven the car for three weeks just too damn hot.
I've endured 6 years of recessionary stand still, then very slow progress (veeeery slow), It has finally graduated to being busy again. Most of the developers and builders I contract with are finally coming out of the wood work. Concrete now takes precedent.
We're leaving to the Lake for a week tomorrow but the last three days Havasu has been over 115* and with no reprieve in sight. Needles today 118*. Please mother nature bring it down to 100*
I'll just have to spend more time in the water than "Bob on this:

Back from parade.
Met John D. (our moderator) & his Son while at Parade. What a kind & warm guy. The honor was all mine.
Good event, much too much rain. The historic display was sublime. Had fun, judging was brutal on the 912 & the 930. My 912 is a sweetheart but when they check the bottom of the crank pulley (really) and the inside of the lug wrench (yeah that too) I may lose some points. I do actually d r i v e my cars ~ the judge asked me "why? " !
Nevertheless I do luv a Parade.

What a terrific experience to meet Michael, his family - and so many other Rennlisters. I mean that. My son and I had a tremendous time at Parade...
Michael's cars are equally as awesome, and his 912 is superb. I could hope that someday, my little 912 could look somewhere near to what his looks like. And yes - I'm still wrestling over mine...
Anyway, just simply thank you to Michael, his family and to all for the incredible welcome to this PCA Parade. I had a blast...
And Michael? Just simply "Thank You"...
My best to all,
John D.

I want you guyz to know that I drove that little gem a lot last night, and it was sublime.
I have been in the RS a ton lately really racking up the miles ~ that led me to forget how sweet the four cylinder is mated with the SWB chassis. I got back in and was wowed.
Don't let anyone tell us that these cars are not mesmerizing. They are an absolute treat.
