Yeah... Remember that crank seal that you trimmed?.. Well you can guess that I did not trim mine!

I have a new one now sitting in the glove box - trimmed & ready.

But I am just driving it & watching it right now to make sure it does not get worse. My '67 has been chosen to represent the "912" at this years French Lick Parade for the 50th anniversary of the model. Cool huh! I am not so sure I want to take it apart before that!

I had a second thought about trimming mine, glad I went ahead.

I am also tracking down some oil leaks. Had one on my passenger side valve cover, ordered the cork gaskets with the steel insert and it looks like that solved it.

Have a leak on the transmission at the back up light switch. I have the new switch. Trying to guess how much oil I will loose when I take the old one out and can get the new one screwed in.

Hey thanks. I wanted to be part of the 60 4 60 Parade display (one car representing each Porsche year) but the staff asked me if I would consider the 912 exclusive placement instead. I did not mind either way ~ Then I asked if they would consider my '79 930 too...

Well actually...

I do have another car of particular interest ~ soon to be exposed. I will introduce it soon. But for now here is the 930:

1979, paint to sample Sienna Metallic with cork sport seating.

You know... There is really not much to it. Car does not feel like its laboring. It has a great throttle sound at that RPM, pulls like a small freight train

The close ratio five speed makes quick work of acceleration (for a 1720cc). It motors right along. My Son asked if it could peg the speedo. I dunno ~ I told him. Not enough straight away!
