Default 1979 930 Japanese Spec Turbo

Dear All,

I've tried searching but came up light regarding data related to the 1979 Turbo - Japanese spec edition. I'm currently making plans to see this car in person and was wondering if anyone had any familiarity (or opinions) regarding the model and/or if anyone had direct knowledge of this car?

Any value added by potential rarity of being a Japanese spec will be more than offset by the extensive mods. Properly set up, a pair of GT28s should make about 600whp on a 3.3 on pump fuel. Cliffnotes: it's a high hp toy, not an investment. If that's what you want a proper ppi with a proper shop familiar with built 930s is a must. Value is hard to quantify on such a car. What do they want for it?

Their inventory is impressive. I'm not sure I've ever seen a more impressive collection of Skylines on this side of the pond.

Caveat: if RUF actually built the car disregard all of the above as it might have extensive investment value.

Edit: Just dug around on their site and saw that they want 75k, seems fair especially if it is built on a 79 930 and not a converted NA 911. This is assuming a PPI checks out. I would want to know how many miles are on the engine build.

NBoost,

Thank you very much for the information!

I agree with you - I love their Skyline collection!

The PPI is definitely a must on it
